In time for the holidays, House of Harvey hosted their very first Pup-Up, a pop-up photoshoot with four-legged friends, right here in Los Angeles. How could Bagel and I resist being a part of this? After all, Bagel + Harvey did share a photo shoot together (click here to see them "play haus"). Check Stephanie's shots!
Cheers!!
Happy Holidays from us!
It's not everyday that one of LA's buzzing fried chicken joints asks you to do letterpress business cards. Fried chicken for business cards almost sounds fair, right. It seemed more convincing after tasting their Japanese twist on a familiar and comforting food especially when coupled with their sides like mac-n-cheese, curry creamed corn, shishito peppers and a pint of craft beer.
Take a bite and taste for yourself.

Congratulations to Robin and Johanna!!
I love weddings but this one was extra special in so many ways. Not only were they friends of ours, but they bestowed the honor of creating their wedding invitations and day-of goods and plus the wedding was in HAWAII!
During the time preparing for their wedding date, I got to know them more as a couple. Their excitement excited us too so much that the anticipation was really starting to build up for a long weekend getaway trip to Oahu.
Robin and Johanna are such a fun and loving couple, and the easiest to work with for pulling off an amazing destination wedding! She wanted a bright and colorful wedding with a modern twist, and he wanted one thing- spam musubis! We captured both in their wedding suite and saw it all come together at their beachside wedding at a private villa in Laie, a city about an hour away from Waikiki Beach.
They wed on the sand just feet from the clear waters with their best friend officiating their nuptials and one of their groomsmen serenading the guests with a rendition of the Hawaiian Wedding song on his ukelele.
They served local Hawaiian food for dinner and even had a dessert table by Ted's Bakery with chocolate haupia pie, white chocolate macadamia cream pie, pumpkin haupia pie, and more.
After dinner and dancing, we headed out the beach and set paper lanterns aglow and watched them sail away in the sky. It was a beautiful highlight to the evening and one of the most memorable moments of the entire wedding.
It's been a few weeks now since finishing some business cards for The Great Romance, a wedding + life photography studio run by husband and wife team Tommy and Connie. Recently, they just launched their brand new, shiny website with a snapshot of the cards! At last, they've been officially revealed. That gold foil and calligraphy by Feast is so sumptuous.
Congratulations!
This Autumn season is filled with weddings. Not sure what it is about 2013, but this year had more wedding toward the end of the year than the usual "wedding season" in spring/early summer. For a few weddings, I've been lucky to also create matching Day-of paper goods for the wedding including namecards, signs, menus and favor tags all matching the invitation of course.
Last week, I've been busy with ink and a calligraphy more than at the press wheeling paper through. Here are some Day-of goods I've been working on lately.
