day-of paperie

This Autumn season is filled with weddings. Not sure what it is about 2013, but this year had more wedding toward the end of the year than the usual "wedding season" in spring/early summer. For a few weddings, I've been lucky to also create matching Day-of paper goods for the wedding including namecards, signs, menus and favor tags all matching the invitation of course.

Last week, I've been busy with ink and a calligraphy more than at the press wheeling paper through.  Here are some Day-of goods I've been working on lately.

emma & yosi's thank you cards

This is the pomegranate that keeps on giving.

Emma and Yosi have been showered with gifts even before their wedding date so to keep up with the correspondence, they tapped me to add one more component to really finish off their wedding suite - a matching thank you card.

Inside, we added that special touch and blind debossed  their names inside for that subtle but personalized touch!

tricolor thank you

Hot off the press is this feminine, clean and simple notecard of gratitude. It's straight to the point, understated and elegantly designed by the chic tastemaker and designer Emma Dime. On the back side of the card, we printed her personal info with white ink for a clever detail.

I love these cards! I'd love to see one complete with a handwritten note.

monarch stationery

When was the last time you wrote a handwritten note, put a stamp on it and dropped it in the mail?

My client has earned himself a new nickname: Monarch Mark. He doesn't know it yet until he reads this post maybe. Reviving the essence of writing and receiving something handwritten, he chose a monarch size page and a matching envelope. The sheets are heavier than a usual 20lb paper so when the recipient receives it, they'll feel the nice paper weight too.

How big is a Monarch size sheet? Glad you asked. It's slightly smaller than a letter-sized sheet at 7.25" x 10.5". Perfect for a decent note bigger than a simple "thank you" on a notecard, but still smaller than a normal sheet. It's quite classy with an executive touch.

The specs:

Sheet:
32lb Environment by Neenah Paper
Natural White

Envelope:
25% Cotton with a flat flap by Strathmore
Natural White
