The other weekend, I made it out to Painstakingly Made to show some support for Victoria of Paper and Type at her showcase there. She and other artists had their goods laid out for us to see and purchase. There was food, furniture, paper goods, textiles...you name it! It was a night of mingling, silly photobooth shots, making new friends, baby hugging (thanks Justina!) and seeing all the balloon frill and magic created by Geronimo Balloons. Jihan says it'll be a regular event with rotating artists. Looking forward to the next one already.

Bagel pup on the The Brick House

This cute pic of Bagel made it on The Brick House!! She was working that dog scarf like no other during last week's WORK/SHOP, a one-night event created for merriment and holiday shopping with local talented LA designers like LuLu Dee, Kate Miss and Matchbox Kitchen. Glad I got to see and meet new friends and this cozy event.

And to top it off...
Here's our holiday photo from the event!  :)

Thanks Ava Alamshah for snapping this sweet pic!

#GOVOTE in letterpress
govote2_1067x800.jpg

This is my contribution to the #GOVOTE campaign!

A letterpress piece composed with mixed wood type and printed using a split fountain technique, a dual color process that can only be done on a flat bed press. I didn't have a "#" sign in wood block so  I carved one out.

Seems ironic to create a piece for digital promotion using analog methods. There's some irony here somewhere.
